There was a time when I was comfortable with the status quo, when I appreciated and respected the boundary lines of “safety” and a figurative bubble. Then I met adventure, and APT 106 was its name. Adventure taught me the true meaning of an abundant life, that there is so much in this world to experience. We just have a brief time to get out there and live it. Yes, sometimes it might be dangerous: scaling rocks, going through Caribbean rapids, shooting in the middle of the night. But even if for one instant you fail at not dying, what a better way to go?

Since my friendship with APT 106, I’ve developed countless memories, the kind that can’t fully be captured by a picture and that you can’t really put into words. But they’re the ones that you treasure the most, the ones you want to bottle up and never forget, like swimming in your private cove or staring up at the stars at a farm in McKinney or night kayaking down the Trinity River.

The members of APT 106 have become my brothers and sisters in adventure, and I’d willingly take an air soft pellet for any of them. It’s been a great ride.
